i got a call saying that they was going to put a warrent out for my arrest. im disable with a heart condison some one need to stop these poeple before they give someone a heartack
Received a voice mail message from a "deputy Anderson" (although, he had a heavy middle Eastern accent) from the state police department and if I choose not to return the call, he would be issuing a warrant for my arrest. Evidently, I will be arrested for not paying back a payday loan which I never received, and of course, that would not be a criminal matter.
I received a phone call from a unknown number telling me to contact an Officer of the US dept of Investigation, When I called he was extremely rude and wouldn't give me any information except for some pay loan advance company that was willing to prosecute me and issued an arrest warrant. This all sounds like a scam to me because the "officer" refused to give me the address/phone numbers to the the loan company and to a collections dept to try to solve any matters. He also refused to give me a case number or courthouse which I can go to solve this matter.. Both gentlemen had middle Eastern accent.
This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.
