Scammer posing as Windows Help and Support. Gave me supposed License ID number and wanted me to open up computer so he could help me fix the errors that had apparently been sent to them from my computer. Catch is the computer isn't registered to me...
I called this number back and someone tried to tell me that my computer was being hacked and that he was from Windows Support. I hope everyone is aware of this - there is no way he knows whats happening on my computer an no way he has my phone number.
Same scam... guy was rude. I told him he was scamming me and that I was going to report him. He told me to put him on hold while I called the authorities. Whatever! Also called at after 10pm. Not legal!!! Be warned and stay away.
Yup, a scam. The guy had the nerve to tell me that I couldn't report him! He was calling from Windows, from the U.S.A! Told him the only equipment I had running was from work, a large government Agency, and that I would forward him to the security department if he needed to explore the issue further. He hung up on me!!!!
