Received a call at work from "Sean Dawson" stating that he was FBI from Columbia. When I called him back on my cell phone and confronted him about not being FBI, he then said he was with Thomas Law Firm. I didn't give him a chance to lie again about why he was calling. T told him that I would be reporting himm to the FBI and he hung up. I don't know if these people got my information but I know that no reputable company would lie and curse like this person.
I received a threatening voicemail from a man with an indian accent. He stated that I had a legal issue pending against me, and he also left, on my voicemail, a very accurate description of all of my information down to the last 4 of my Social. On my way home from work about 4 hours after the voicemail was left, I received a call from, im assuming the same man from the voicemail, threatening me again. Before he could even tell me what the legal issue was, he was threatening me with going to jail for a crime. Still, I don't know what he is talking about. He keeps talking, and telling me that he will transfer me to the person in charge of my account so they could tell me what was going on, but he continued to talk instead of transferring me. I was getting very irritated, so he continued to threaten me. Told me that I needed to calm down, or he was going to contact my job about what I had done, and they were going to fire me. He also told me the name of the company that I work for. I was on my cell phone, so I dropped the call. I was in a bad area. He calls me bad continually threatening me, saying that I was ignoring him. He threatened me to jail again, and he threatened me to contact my job again, and that I was going to be fired.
He eventually hung up on my, because I was cursing him out. I was very irrate, because he still didn't tell me anything about what it was for.
I went back to the voicemail that I had received, and called him back on the number that he had left. I was greeted once again by someone threatening me. I was finally transferred to someone who told me that I had money deposited into my account from a payday advance, and I hadn't paid the money back yet. I started to ask him questions, and he stated that I needed to wait until he finished explaining it to me, before I could ask anything. I was told that I owe over $9,800, and that included what I borrowed as well as attorney fees and other items included, and that I was going to jail if I didn't pay this money. I asked him when did this occur, and he stated to me that it was done in April to my bank account. He told me my bank name and everything.
I stated back to him by the end of the phone call that this was some [***], and that I would sue them for threatening me and calling me with this scam. I also told him that I would sue them for that $9,800 plus more for this entire ridiculous phone call. He came back at me with the police will take my [***] to the court on monday. And yes, he used the words, take my [***]. I hung up after that.
I read your happening and guess what the exact thing happened to me. I also told him I have reported this to the FBI who had a file on them but they keep changing their phone number, I also reported to the DA's office and they told me that if any one had a complaint regarding me it would go thru them and they would send out a notification, not call me. Hope you get this offyour back, because these people have called me for a number of months now with the same info with a call back number of 347-688-9900 New York NY and 814-303-4371 Pennysalvania for now I am sure they will change them and they are with indian accents.
