You don't present yourself as very literate. Proofread carefully before posting so that it doesn't look like it was written by a child. And, don't be so gullible! Do you really think this is how the IRS would handle anything like this?
I got a call 4 times on 7/29/15. The women said she was calling about a legal issue, she did not say who she was with and who she was trying to reach. I called the number today from an anonymous phone and it rang for several minutes, it sounded like someone picked up the phone. I called back and a man picked up and said he was from the dept of treasurer and then somehow we got disconnected. I looked up Google to see if the dept of treasurer in NYC had the same number and they don't and the phone does not seem to be a land line.
I just called again for the third time and another person answered the phone and I asked for their address and the person said, "get lost you [***]," and then he hung up on me.
I received a message when I got home today from this number. I was told that I had filed false tax returns and that the IRS was coming to lock me up and I should obtain a criminal lawyer. I just call the number back and a man answer still claiming to be part of the IRS. I asked him for his name and address because I had contacted my attorney and I needed to provide his with his information (i.e. his name and address). He than asked for my name and I told I would like to know his name and address because I had done what I was told to do contact my attorney and this is where we are now and this is what I need you. He then put hung up phone.
These calls are very scary this has never happen to me before, so to be honest this made me a little nervous. I just tried to call the number again and he block my number.
FAKE! They called to tell my wife that there was a warrant out for her arrest, said almost all the right things. I accidentally hung up on him and called back...when he answered I asked where they were located and he said in D.C., but it is a Queens, NY area code. So I asked for his address and he then had some choice words for me and hung up. The only frustration in all of this is the fact that there is no way to talk with someone from the is-I tried, for three hours!!!! Anyway, very thankful for this website!!
