A person claiming to be Gary Austin called claiming to be from the US Secret Service telling me that there were errors in my tax returns and that my case had been turned over to them because I had failed to respond to two letters they had sent. The caller sounded East Indian and persisted in repeating the information even though I told him I had no income for the years in question. When he started asking for personal information I hung up. The scary thing is that he not only had my phone number but my home address as well.
I reported the phone number to the local Secret Service office.

Too bad it wasn't Steve Austin. We got a bargain with him for only $6 million. I wonder if he still fights it out with Bigfoot? People always say these calls target seniors, but how can anyone be fooled by it? A 5 second pause would reveal all the red flags in the message.
