Smells scammy.
Same deal: East Indian male claiming to be calling from Chicago informing me I had won a drawing.
I said I could not understand him (I blamed it on my reception) and asked for a number to reach him. He refused. I said if you can't give me a number, then I don't need to speak with you
Same as everyone else, I got a call from an Indian man saying I had one a drawing for a vacation. I questioned him on several things:
-Where would I have entered this contest? - "In your local Walmart." Well that seems silly because I would never give my number to someone at a Walmart.
-I don't remember entering this contest.. - "Maybe your partner entered for you?" No, I doubt it, they aren't that stupid and have their own cell number to enter.
-Where is your company based? - " We are based in Chicago." Strange because my caller ID said Daytona Beach. I only answered because I thought it was a call back to a job application.
Just for fun I listened to him go off about what kind of packages they had and the places I could go and when he mentioned having me transferred to his manger and it would take 10 minutes I butted in with "I don't have time to take any vacations" and he immediately said "Ok have a good day" in an annoyed tone like I wasted HIS time.
I received the same call with a foreign lady claiming I entered and I said I did not. This was a local Daytona Beach number. Her boss, probably foreign also, will call and give me my coupon info. I told her I was working and wouldn't be able to take the call. She said it was very important and I should take it. I told them to leave a message. She also said "god bless you" numerous times. I almost asked if she even knew if I was christian or not. But, I didn't.
Ditto here. Just got the call couldn't understand him at all. Why don't scammers try that work for pay program like the rest of us? He interupted my work day with this stupidity.
I received a call from this number June 16th. I don't answer calls from people I don't know or numbers I don't recognize for the reasons stated above by others. They are usually scammers. I'm glad I didn't call back.
