Richard Dempsey called my home several times asking for someone who does not and never has lived in my home. I finally returned the call, told him that this person did not live here and has never lived here. He very nicely told me that I would not receive any calls since I did not know this person. I then told him that I did know the person but she had disconnected her home phone years ago and I had no contact with her now. He then asked me not to call his office again and lie to him and hung up.
My husband then called and told them our name and address, not to call anymore. Richard then said to my husband "didn't I tell you not to call here BOY". This made my husband loose it, he informed Richard that he was 67 years old and not to call him a boy or call his home again.
Received a phone message stating I had serious allegations against me, etc, etc. when I called him back, I allowed him to control the conversation up until he stated I owed $1250 for a payday loan. I am in California where the limit on payday loans is less than $300. He also tried persuading me to offer a payment by ststing the debt "could" go to criminal court, but that wa up to his boss. When I told him he needed to send me something in writing to the address he had previously confirmed, and that I knew my rights as a consumer, and that he was most definitely stepping on some lines when it came to what he was saying to me he quickly got off the phone. I also think he didn't like it when I stated I believed he made these kinds of calls all the time, when he proclaimed he doesn't usually make these kinds of calls.

Need to report these people, what they are doing is illegal. They will not stop calling my receptionist at work. I have reported them to the FTC and everyone else should to. The more reports the more likely they are to do something about it.
They keep calling my mom saying that they are attorneys and that they are going to take out a warrant on her and about some old payday loan and i told my mom to tell them to go screw themselves.
