They have been calling for the past few months, at least 3 times a week. I am thinking of filing harrassment charges. I have asked everytime to take me off the list. I am on the DO NOT CALL list. When I asked today for a call back number, they hung up on me. Last time, i asked for a supervisor and told that there is none
I no longer answer any call from an unidentified source. If the call is Out of Area, from a place where I have no business dealings, has a fictional area code, e.g. 062, or even an 800 number that gives no name or is labeled "Toll Free Number," I simply ignore it. Most often, no message is left. I've tried TeleZapper and other gimmicks, but found that they are every bit as fraudulant as the telemarketers, their sole purpose to con folks out of a few dollars. Sadly, some medical practices employ 800 services to confirm appointments but most have no identifying information. It becomes necessary that I make certain my appointments are entered on the calendar since I no longer can rely on being reminded. I'm aware that I sometimes miss important calls, but, if it is important enough, a letter will be in my mailbox within a few days. I appreciate the whistles, fog horns, and other appliances, but when I have answered calls, most have been robocalls and there is noone upon whom I can inflict pain...sigh!
I got a call from this number today and it immediately disconnected when I answered. Ironically, this call came just 2 1/2 hours after I answered a call from 305-665-2656. That number had a message "press 1 to lower your credit card rate". I pressed "1" and got connected to a live operator pretending to be a representative of my credit card company. When I asked her what bank my card is with (US Bank), she hung up on me. I reported the prior call to the FTC as I'm on the do-not-call list.
