I got a phone call from the same number and when I tried to call it back it said it was disconnected. I have no idea what this number is.I wish these scam people would quit calling.
Got a similar call today from 386-409-3699 and found this website by using google search. Since it's obviously a scam, isn't there a gov't agency that can take them down?
Same story here- they are ignoring Federal law in cases like mine (and probably yours) because they know they'll get away with it, to a point anyway. Be ruthless in reporting these scammers to the Do Not Call Registry. Maybe after a few million complaints the Feds will actually investigate. Of course then they'll just close shop & begin again with a new root phone number, but at least it keeps them skittish.
I'm receiving calls from this number with a recording about lowering my credit card rate. When I spoke with a rep the first time, they said it's not for one credit cards, but all of them. Then he wanted me to give him my credit card numbers. When I told him to remove me from their list, he hung up on me. Called the number back & it is disconnected.
