10/3/08 6:11PM -- just got a call from this same number in florida - answering machine left a partial message, saying something IMPORTANT about my car. scared me half to death - like they were going to repossess my '96 car!! glad i found this website!
Just got a call from this number. They immediately wanted my vehicle ID. I asked for the agent's name. After hesitation he said Terrence Jackson from "The Warranty Division". Caller ID said the same as others her. I told him I would be reporting him. He replied "You have fun doin that". This is a scam. I've been on the DNC for years.
I called the number on my caller ID back and learned the number was not in service. So I went to www.donotcall.gov to register a complaint. Here is the result of my complaint, you may want to do the same.
"The phone number 386-437-4750 was registered on September 18, 2008. Companies may call you for up to 31 days after that date. You may file a complaint if a company calls you after October 19, 2008.
Note: If your area code has recently been changed and you receive the message "Grace period has not expired" when you attempt to file a complaint, submit your complaint under your old area code".
