Blatant SCAM!!!! Trying to use wounded or killed law enforcement officers as a way to scam money. As a law enforcement family, this sickens me. It is a computer generated voice response program.
That is true, but you might be forgetting these crooks need any kind of answer in order for anything to happen--a live voice especially. No kind of answer means nothing for the caller but to eventually move on. These take a while to outlast but it can be done if you can miss their calls entirely.
