I got 3 calls from this number within a few minutes. I finally answered just to tell them to stop calling. It was a guy that called me by name (which I've read that scammers do, so that you will say, "yes" and they can use your voice saying "yes" to say that you said "yes" to something they're selling). I don't know about that being accurate, but when he said, "Sharon?", I just said, "Who is this?" He said his name...I think he said, "Dennis" and then launched into his sales speech, trying to sell me an extended warranty on my car. I told him I have an 8-year extended warranty from the dealer that I bought my car from. He then said, "Thank you and have a nice day." I don't know if this or any company sell legitimate extended warranties. I get letters trying to sell the same thing and they know my name, address, and what year, make, and model of my car. I want to know where they get the names and information from in the first place. They called my home phone, which I never give out or use, except in the case I've misplaced my cell and call it to find it. I only have it because I got it in a "bundle" with my cable and Internet. All I EVER get on that number is telemarketers and scammers.
06/29/2017 Telemarketing Scam. Called from 386-457-1894. Caller left a message saying they've sent final notices about my vehicle warranty. The caller did not mention the company name, my name, or which vehicle the warranty applied to. I have several vehicles, all of which are LONG past their warranty coverage. Instructed to call back at 1-855-999-9122.
Asked for name. Asked who was calling (very politely) and they hung up. Probably a scam. Since most reputable places would say who/what the company is and not hang up. What's there to hide?
