Called saying my vehicle warranty expired and this was my last chance to get my car warranty renewed - they were to protect me from anything. have been receiving these calls from different numbers multiple times a week, so decided to play with them today and said to computer that i was interested. After a while got connected to a man with the accent who asked for my name and where I was from, i said I was John Smith from Alaska. The he asked for a zip code, I said 220000 just to check whether the callers had any idea about USA geography. He had no reaction to 220000 zip code. The he asked me about the car I had - I made up 2005 Honda Accord with 145,000 miles, just to check the reaction. Then that man transferred me to another lady who also spoke with unrecognized accent, she again asked me whether I was interested and I said yes. She promised to protect my car from any harm, even if I had 145,000 miles on it :) Then the female told me she was going to transfer me to their authorization department that will ask some questions whether I qualify. Once I got transferred another girl with an accent asked me series of questions whether I changed oil on my car, whether I had any leaks, kind of basic questions, which could tell for sure did not sound very professional. Then the authorization girl told me that I qualified after the series of questioning and made up answers, that I qualified and said that she was going to transfer me back to the girl to process my warranty. So far so kind of potentially someone could be fooled believing they were a real deal. But then the female said something stupid that made me not want to continue the made up conversation. She said that I will have to decide whether I want this warranty on a spot and I will not have a second chance to call them back, which will ensure that I will not change my mind, or perhaps I will not find out that they are a scam. This is where I decided to stop pretending, told he she was a scammer and i was to call a policy. She hanged up on me...I very truly hope they will not call me again. If they do, assume the best course of action is to just hand up on them... hey have no idea and their scam line is not even that great... so annoying they keep on calling... Is this Dealer Processing Department a registered company???
