Lately I've been getting calls from Florida number (386) 736-7962 that I don't recognize. That number comes from Deland, Florida and It's some sort of boiler room scam. They never leave a message, they always wait for someone to pick-up. Don't pick-up.
I finally answered this call. I asked what credit card company he was with. He talked over my questions saying he was a consumer service. I then asked how he could lower my rates when i payed off my cards each month and on time. He nastily accused me of yelling and how would he know that i payed it off each month. Then called me a [***] and hung up. I have tried several times to call this number back. All I get is a busy signal. Am on the DO NOT CALL list so have no idea why this number keeps calling.
I get frequent calls from "Florida" and I wonder if they are all the same group, even though they have different numbers. From the comments on this web site, I suspect they are related. Some of the other numbers are: 386-427-6893, 561-784-9844, 850-432-3928. I am on the "Do not call" list. Is there somewhere I can register a complaint that might result in action?
Same thing..wanting to lower my rate/last chance my butt..receiving calls for months! I have asked numerous times for them to remove me from their list..I told this telemarketer that I have asked 30 times previously..He said, " Oh, do you want a cookie?" and hung up on me!!!!
I have been getting calls from this number for about 4 months. I finally answered pressed 1 and got a live person. A pleasant woman answered the phone, she was about to have a horrible day. I called her so many four letter words that her mamma was probablly crying.
I know it is shallow, but I have been call free for two weeks :)
