I got the same type of call 2 times, saying they can lower my charge card interest rates. My method is to see how long I can keep them on the line. I ask questions. I play fairly stupid. How can they do that? Why would they lower the rates and loose money? How do you get money? Etc. The first call lasted over 15 minutes before I final admitted I was screwing with them. Mentioned I'm on the DNC list. She said THey can call because they aren't offering a service. I said "You're not?!" then she hung up.
THe second call lasted only about 5 minutes. The user was new and got a manager when I started asking questions. The manager caught on to my ploy quickly and hung up.
Thia caller calls about every day saying "this is your last chanse to lower your credit card interest.". press one to lower your interest. They say they are Credit card services. When I asked to speak to a manager.. they say manager is not available. I believe they are wanting to get credit card information especially your credit card numbers! DO NOT GIVE INFORMATION! THIS IS A SCAM!
This phone number (386) 767-8027 belongs to Susan Gargosh of 5014 Ridgewood ave, Port Orange, Florida, 32127 I reprted this to the Port Orange Police department today and a detective is investigating this scam.
I've gone thought quite a bit of trouble trying to track these people down. I've called Bell South, the Better Business Burrow, the FCC and the FTC. From what the woman at the FCC told me the FTC building a case against this company. She suggested the more calls to the Federal Trade Commission the better. I keep getting calls from this company, and it's a recording about credit card debt. I too am on the do not call list, and keep getting these calls.
The number is a Florida number. They need to stop. So much for a do not call list. Many of these numbers come from out of the country too. I wish our phones had a "permanent delete button & blocking device". The phone companies don't help either. What are we to do?
