Called it back & there was a faint recording about being "Donor Service" who works with various charitable operations. The recording began to have static on the line and eventually hung up. Their hours of operation are 8-5 CST...funny, it was 7:00 CST when they called.
The caller is a solicitor for Special Olympics in Little Rock AR. ( The number is out of Louisiana.) Asking for donations for their ( Special Olympics) Year Book. You're asked to advertise in the book from $1500.00 to $275.00. The solicitor is an agency who gets a nominal fee for collecting those donations. If you care to donate you can go online to Special Olympics and skip the solicitor completely.
Have gotten several cals. Answered today and they identified themselves as CareNet and used my first name. Obviously wanting contributions. I interrupted them and asked them not to call back and hung up. I have received 4-5 calls from this area code (sometimes different numbers) and they never leave a message. Assume this is a scam or set of scams. Creepy when they call you by name.
