I haven't been to FW stock show, nor any Bridal Shows or Festivals. They just called, but didn't leave message. I check online (here) for a phone number I don't know before I totally blow it off.
This number belongs to a company called My Southern Journeys. They claim to be the company handing out prizes for the WildFlower Festival booth in Richardson Texas.
Grand prizes require an inperson visit to pick up smaller prizes at their offices in Richardson.
I get numerous calls from this number.. i never pick up.. after finding these post about the above #, i called it back and i get a answer machive with an Elizabeth Hartman with reservations answering and asking to leave a message.
I got a call from this number, too. Yep, it's My Southern Journeys. I made the mistake of spinning the wheel at the Dallas Bridal Show and they have been blowing up my phone non-stop for months now. I even paid $20 at the fair for something I can't even remember now (foolish me, I know) and would pay another $20 for them to stop calling! Anyways, don't fall for it, it's a total scam.
I got a call claiming to be from this Southern Journey...saying I signed up to win something from the FW stock show last January. That is suspicious? a year later they are having a drawing? Ask my current address and income?
They are a Travel Company that sells Timeshares. They do a lot of appearances at Festivals, Gun Shows, Bridal Shows, etc. If they are calling you, it is probably because you signed up or spun the wheel for a free vacation. They typically ask for a $20 deposit on the spot, which is refunded if you show up to a 90 minute presentation. And, at the presentation, they give you a free trip and some other goodies, but the whole point is that they want to sell you a Timeshare.
