We were in the booth next to the car or $50,000 dollar give away at the Southwest Street Rod Nationals. Now all of our cell phones are getting calls from this number an odd hours with no one on the other end. We are NOT pleased. It was sponsored by Fowler Dodge and a travel company.
The caller offered me a trip for a weekend if I sat through a presentation. It's a time share thing. scam or not - I am not interested. They most likely got my phone number from a giveaway I recently entered.
Called three times and did not leave a message. Called today and asked my wife if I was home. When she said no they hung up without further comment.
When I try to return the call I get sounds like a fax machine.
The name "S.J.Reis" shows up on the call.
They just called again for the fourth time, second time today and said I had signed up for a $50,000 give away and was a finalist. I told her that I did not sign up and then she said maybe my wife did since her name was on the form too. I told her no. She said we signed up at a Tulsa Drillers Convention. The Tulsa Drillers are a local ball team. We were at a recent game and bought tickets online. I did not enter any contest and I resent them calling.
At least 4 calls a day from this number to my cell phone. I am being billed for air time for these calls. I have records for last 4 weeks of calling. Calls are made at all hours of night and day.
The caller ID said 'SJR. Which I believe is Southern Journey Oklahoma. The caller offered me a trip to Las Vegas with round trip air fare if we sat through a presentation about traveling and she assured me we would be entered 10 more times for listening to the presentation.
Then she ask HOW MUCH COMBINED INCOME we had and I told her I WOULD NOT answer that question. Why would that have anything to do with a FREE TRIP they were offering us?
She was NOT PLEASED with that I would not answer and hung up on me..
She did tell me they had gotten our phone number from an entry form we had filled out at the tractor pulls that were in Enid, Oklahoma.
We should have known better that to fill out anything...
We are on the NO CALL LIST. I think this company needs to be contacted and told to quit offering free trips in exchange for personal information.
