BEWARE!! It seems they are getting more clever. The caller ID number showed 011 55 302-459-8652. Why would someone from Delaware show 011 and Brazil's country code of 55???? Same scenario of Spanish only using wrong address. Also, I havemy Internet phone number forwarded to my cell to help me quickly identify scammers. NO ONE has this number.
We had been receiving calls from 'Milano Kerry' for a few days now, but since we did not know who it was we didn't answer. Finally this morning my mom decided to answer. A lady claimed to be from UPS and that we had a package waiting for us at a certain address (they just gave us the street name, no street number, no city name, no zip code...that should have been a red flag). They started giving out our information (name and address) that we needed to confirm so that they could send us the yellow card needed to pick up the package.My mom confirmed the address and name, but when they asked if she was 18 or older, she told them there was no need for them to know any more information for the simple act of just sending a package. My mom being aware of scams kept asking them why they needed all this information. She was transferred to the "manager" so that he would answer them. He just repeated to whole story about the little yellow card they were going to send. Well this manager kept listening to the conversation even after she was transferred back to the lady, because everytime she would ask the lady more questions, the guy would immediately cut in and answer. Anyway, we hung up on them. They called back two more times.
So if you get a call from them, don't answer (but that's a bit boring, why not play with THEIR heads a little?)
P.S. this was all in spanish, so i guess they have bilingual staff on hand.
Same as above. The more questions I asked, the more the manager kept cutting in. Sounds like a total scam. Next time they call, I will asked them to remove me from their calling list. Almost sound like they are trying to trick you into signing up for something by getting you to verify your information on the phone and have it recorded. Looks like their goal is to get you to say your full name, and address.
I have been getting calls from this number as well a spanish person.And the first time they said it was the post offic.And that there is a package that needs more info to be be delivered.They have our name right but there is 2 of them that they are asking us .They want us to say the name correctly and it's like some kind of recorder.Cause it goes silent after that.And the person say's can you repeat it.They say they are calling via internet and that is why the caller i.d says louisiana.I gave them all bogus information till they got upset.Then i told them to stop harrasing us and that i would report them to the police.They sure hung up after that.But its some kind of scam.They want to give you a code to go the the nearest post ofiice or ups.THIS IS A SCAM.....THEY MIGHT HAVE YOUR INFO BUT THEY WANT TO GET YOU TO SAY IT ON THE RECORDER.IT IS PROBLY ALL COMING FROM A PHONE BOOK AND THAT IS ALL THEY HAVE.
I also got a call from this number from Louisiana. It was a lady and she spoke to me in Spanish. She said that she was from the post office and that they have been trying to deliver a package to me three times already, and that they had left three yellow slips in my mailbox, (this was not true because I check my mail everyday). and that she wanted to verify my information. I asked her who was sending the package, but she kept on repeating that she needed to verify my information. I told her that to begin with, I was not especting any packages from nobody. and that the post office does not call you, they simply return the pakage to the sender after they have tried to deliver it three times. Second, why will a post office from Louisiana be calling me, if I do not live in that sate? Then she asked me again to give her my information so she could send me the package. I told her that I was not going to give her any personal information, that she could keep the package, and not to call again.
some lady speaking very poor English has been call over the past few weeks and today called 3 times and neverf responded when we said "hello"...she kept calling and never saying anything...previous times she tried to ask questions about our address and other personal info but we couldnt understand the little schemer so we always hang up. Someone needs to silence these people..a "final solution" would be nice!
