Someone from this number contacted the elderly father of a friend of mine and pretended to be his grandson. The person called himself by the grandson's name and stated he had been pulled over and arrested because they found drugs under his seat, although they (of course) were not his. He said he was in jail and needed his grandfather to bail him out. A second person came on the line and pretended to be a police officer who would "help out" the man by giving him information on how to bail the boy out. He wanted him to go to WalMart and get a Green Dot MoneyPak for $3,000 and then to call this number. The scammer stressed over and over not to tell anyone. Fortunately, this was not done. The scammer called back an hour later to find out if the MoneyPak had been purchased and when he was told no, but that the police had been called, he hung up.
