We received a threatening call from this number, with no identifying information regarding what it concerned, and did not mention us by name. A guy with a weird voice claimed he was "Officer (unintelligible)" saying we or our attorney better contact him, or he'd have no choice but to (unintelligible). We're on the other side of the country from Virginia and have no reason to be contacted by some "Officer" there.
Total scam. An attempt to extort money from you. If you were in legal trouble, you'd receive correspondence from a lawyer's office, not some scammy phone call. Similarly, if you'd broken the law, you'd receive a visit from the police - and again, you wouldn't receive a scammy phone call.
Got a call from this number. Since I did not answer they left me a voicemail saying it was some officer named Jason Miller and my attorney or I needed to contact at the earliest. The situation is time sensitive and if I don't return the call, the situation would entirely befall on me. Don't know what the situation is. But this is a total scam.
Got a call from this number and could not understand the caller so I called the number back. After several rings a man answered and said he was an IRS agent and when I told me no he was not he cussed me and hung up.
