cold call. india accent you can barely understand. pronounced my name wrong.. etc. all claiming tax evasion scam BS. told him to call my attorney and hung up. SCAM!
Officer Marcus also after me. Likely recorded call with no personal info (i.e. Your Name). Using different number for callback stating that a warrant has been issued, which arrives 2 - 3 hours after initial threat of arrest. As in Nigerian frauds, it is obvious if you stop and think a bit. Be wary of all 571 area code calls.
I reported my first call from IRS (Mr. OConnor) 570-210-5559 on 12/17/2014.
I received a second voicemail from the IRS on 01/06/2015, this time the number to call is 571-210-1297. They said they were with the IRS and that the reason for the call was they received a petition for a legal complaint for illegal tax evasion, and they wer taking the case to the Federal Courthouse to issue a warrant for arrest. This voicemail is saved. I did not call them back.
