THIS "NUMBER" HAS CALLED ME SEVERAL TIMES THEN HANGS UP WHEN MY RECORDED MESSAGE CLICKS ON. I CALLED IT BACK LATE ONE DAY FROM A NUMBER NOT AT MY HOME..GOT "THEIR" RECORDED MESSAGE THAT IT IS "NOT TAKING CALLS AT THIS TIME"...
GOOGLED THIS AND FOUND THESE NOTES.......CHALKED THIS UP TO ANOTHER "MORON" CALLER.

Actually, their reason for calling isn't dangerous our sinister, just illegal and annoying. Using robo-dialing, they're calling all these telephone numbers just to get answers...and when they do, they have a "live" phone they can sell to people wanting to do spamming and phone solicitation. When you answer, or even when your answering machine answers, they know that telephone number is a "live" one, (meaning people actually live at that number) and they can sell the number to marketing and opinion firms. VERY annoying and very illegal, but probably not something to fear or be alarmed about.
Just got a call form this number. I let the answering machine get it but no message was left. Caller waited until after outgoing message was done to hang up. I hope the caller dies a slow, painful, gruesome death very soon. (Hey, it says post only truthful information!)
Just got the same thing - message was static and couldn't make it out, but it was 3 seconds long. My land line's been on the National "Do Not Call' list for a while, but recently have been getting more solicitation calls than ever; what's up with that?
