I sold something on Craigslist the other day and put my phone number for a call back and now im getting the same text for a free Walmart gift card.....do people have nothing better to do!!!!!!
I received the 'You won $1,000 Wal-Mart gift card' text this morning. Seemed like a scam since I did not enter any drawings. I didn't go to the site, just erased the text.

We can't stop the scammers. Most of them are located outside the US, out of the reach of US law enforcement.
To make the stop annoying you contact your provider, see if the calls can be blocked. If they are calling your cell phone you can put them in your contacts list and assign them the ring tone "no ring". That won't stop the calls but it will make them easier to ignore.
