Total scam. I called them back, and they answered that they were the IRS and was rude. I got rude back and ended up laughing and talking to the guy for 5 minutes about the scam. He said, "when its a 40 million dollar a year business, it's hard not to do this." Ended up being a nice guy....but its a scam.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
I returned the call this afternoon. A different guy also referring to himself as an officer answer the phone. I told him that they had to have the wrong phone number. This guy then started asking me about my heritage because of my name. Then went on to say that I have a nice voice & then asked me if i was married. I told him that was a personal question and new right then that this was not for real. I then hung up on him. My only concern is if these guys could be hackers and somehow be able to get information off of my phone through my aps like bank info & credit card numbers.
