Received text from this number at midnight last night, quote: "You just won a free $1000 Walmart Gift Card, enter "1000" at http://deals4me.ws/wm". DON'T BELIEVE IT! I'm sure this is another phishing scam.
Just received a call from this number and a very femine sounding "man" kept saying listen up and then he would "wet fart" all up on the phone. After hearing this about a dozen times, I finally hung up! I keep waiting for "him" to call again but "he" has not!
I received a text message from the cell phone number 571-239-5864 that said "You just won a free $1000 Walmart Gift Card, enter "FREE" at http://deals4me.ws/wm. The only thing I did was go to Lowermybills.com and request information on lower mortgage interest rates. I started receiving all kinds of crazy calls on the cell phone I used for that request, and then eventually I got this text message. So all I can guess it that it was connected to some mortgage lender/rip-off artist trying to get us to go with them. We eventually selected our local credit union because they had the best deal, but I allowed 2 companies recommended by Lowermybills.com pull our credit scores to see what kind of offer they would get for us, they were very pushy and wanted $13,000 to $15,000 in closing costs! I will never do that again. I thought that Loweryourbills.com was a BBB trusted company. I checked it out online, but it seems to allow unscrupulous businesses to participate and feed off of inocent people trying to lower their interest rates. By the way, our local credit union had a great deal, with no closing costs, and a 7-year interest rate of 3.74%, just what we needed!!
