I'm curious, "Amber". If you didn't know the firm's number how did you find this site? If you search on "Law Office Baker and McKenzie" their own web site is the first result (and second and third and fourth). No link to 800notes.com shows up in the first 10 pages of search results on Google. What search terms did you enter that brought up this page?
I knew who I was dealing with before I called, just wanted to waste some of their time, like they did to me.
Gave them the file number and she asked for my name. I did not give her my name and told Mrs., Jackson or James or whatever her name was to tell me the name on the file, she would not. She then told me that she was going to have me arrested and then hung up on me.
Amber, just a quick question: How is she going to have me arrested if she doesn’t know my name....?
I have filed an FTC complaint and encourage everyone else to do so.
Just a follow up. I called back because I wanted to make sure I had a complete understanding of what was going on, I was transferred to Nancy. I gave her the File # and asked to be removed from her records as they had contacted me 6 months ago about the same thing.
She told me that I was full of (well let's just say it was a profanity laced comment) I didn't expect that from a LADY, and then she hung up on me...
Me being the considerate person that I am, I thought maybe we had a bad connection, so I called back and spoke to Nancy again, after some more conversation of her (not so LADY like) telling me that I did not know what I was talking about.
Nancy then went on to state that she was a senior partner (implying that she was a lawyer) with Baker and McKenzie and then she proceeded to threatened me with jail for harassment of their company. I stated you’re going to have me arrested for harassment, that’s when she hung up on me once again, so disrespectful for a LADY.
If there is any legitimacy to this company, which I have my doubts, I have serious suspicion that they comply with any applicable laws related to their industry.
