Called with this phone number on my ID but the message said to call Va Fraternal order of Police at 877-325-8674...It came from Centreville, Va. Telemarketers asking for money for whoever will pay them to do it!
Calls at 8:35am this morning, way too early to be a call from anyone other than family/friends or work. I think my phone said they've now called like 17 times???!!!!
calls and asks for mr.(last name), tell them he's not here . .could be calling for my father but i know he has no CA after him . . say "can i take a message" and he sais "uhhh" . . waits another 5-8 seconds while i hear typing in the background and another person on a phone saying something about a credit card. . . then sais "uhhh" again and hangs up.
i dont have caller ID but i live in Virginia, and the 571 area code is given to CELL PHONES in the 703 area code.
571 is not only given to cell phone #'s in the northern VA area. It's in loudoun county. I am so annoyed at the person calling from this #. They are somehow calling from an 800 #, but it turns out to show up as a local # so we unwittingly answer a telemarketer call. Here's the thing...LAST week the SAME guy calls me - wanting help for the local police dept and in return we would get a DNA kit. I told them to send me something in the mail. Again the SAME guy - I know it was him b/c he had the same line of bull. Hi so and so, nice to HEAR A SMILING FACE! We are doing a fundraiser for the fire dept. and then something else he was giving away. Now I'm annoyed b/c last week I said "send me something in the mail" and this week he was telling me "your call is being recorded, we'd like you to donate 35, 50 or 100 to this cause". grrrr, so again, I said, I don't agree to this stuff on the phone, mail me something. Now this guy thinks I am a sucker and will call me EVERY week with some new crap.
