the message is a computer-generated "final warning" before the IRS issued a warrant....knowing it was a scam, I called back and an oriental-accented man who answered the phone as "Internal Revenue Service, Agent Michael Smith" tried to get personal info... then I used every profanity I could think of and screamed into the phone. blocked his number, reported it to the IRS... so sick of these b**tards. (and why doesn't 800notes have "SCAM" under "call type"???)
I got this (obvious scam) call today. I didn't answer so they left this message:
"Inform you that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you to get more information
about this case file please call immediately on our department number
571-298-2462. I repeat 571-298-2462. Goodbye"
