Caller represents himself as an agent of the IRS making a 'courtesy call' to say that law enforcement will be coming by within two hours to arrest you for tax fraud. Has a heavy Indian accent and wasn't always clearly understandable.
What I can't figure out is what he is attempting to gain. Perhaps my responses didn't give him the setup that he needed to ask me for money (i.e., to resolve my alleged IRS issue for me), but he didn't even attempt to get credit card information so I don't see how he was trying to benefit from the call. He did try to confirm my address, but I didn't respond to that.
So glad to hear I am not the only one getting this call. They said they were from the IRS Tax Audit dept. and said that I would be getting arrested. Scary!
