Same here, have called couple of times (showed up as missed call, they hung up on the ans machine), just now I grabbed the phone to answer. Asked for husband by name, then said they were calling for either one of us. Campaign to remind everyone to buckle up for safety, then said paid solicitor for fraternal order of police, would be mailing out pledge package with decal, wanting $$ for death benefit for fallen police.
Our number has been registered for several years (and I update every year) on national Do Not Call registry, but that does not seem to stop any of this kind of phone call.
I got several calls........got into an argument with the person to find out they are a 3rd party fund raising company for the FOP. Not only are they rude but they keep most of the money that they do raise. I called the FOP complaining about the tactics of these people. Don't be fooled, they are a FOR PROFIT Company working for a Non Profit Organization.
They keep calling. Won't identify themselves when the person they ask for "by name" is not there. Never leaves messages. Blocking and reporting this number.
