Cold caller. Same as these numbers:
813-371-0195
727-264-5039
540-254-4200
Recorded message sounds like Dan from Called Referrals, but it's really "College" Referrals. They called me several times in the past week. I asked how they got my number and they avoided the question once, and I asked again and they said I "might have" submitted my information on a public form somewhere. I told them my number is private and never used in any forms anywhere for any reason, and I've had the number for several years.
My suggestion for any cold-calling company is the same - waste THEIR time. Just keep them on the phone and lead them on without giving them any more of your personal information or any commitments.
THEM: "Is this something you're interested in?"
YOU: "Maybe, tell me more."
Go do something else while they give their sales talk on their "not a sales call". Once they get to the end, tell them that you were never really interested, thank them for the cold call, and hang up.
