I had the same thing as above EMG. I called and some indian said it was the IRS and long story short, I owed 1564.00 in tax's from 2010 to 2015. I'm a single man who has used HR Block for 30 years for easy form so I KNOW I don't owe anything, or as BMG said I would have been served papers or be in jail. Of course I don't think they'd ( IRS) put me in jail for 1600.00.... LOL People beware this number..when I called I could tell he was reading from a script. It is a scam!
It's a robot call saying there are federal charges against me and to call back to verify who I am. If it was legit, I would have been served papers or in jail by now.
