Called me after i'd left work yesterday and left no message. Called again a few minutes ago asking for someone that doesn't even work in my area - apparently they're stupid enough to pick the first person they saw on our online staff list with "Director" in the title, then decided to randomly pick my number to try and reach them. Neither myself or the other person are a CTO.
Indian woman called. Her version of the english language was so poor I couldn't understand her. I told her I was unable to give out any information and hung up on her. POS Scammer.
An Indian man with a thick accent says his name is Kenton but switches up his name every time he calls asking to speak with the CIO. Won't leave a message and says he is calling from SAP.
Calling from India, definitely. Saying he is calling from Microsoft. Wants to talk about the Windows 10 Update. Asked for the CTO then asked a whole bunch of questions about our company. I gave him all the info that is on our website AND NOTHING MORE. He obviously is working for an outsourcing company trying to get info.
Told them that I appreciate their call. Put them on hold for 5 minutes. Then had them slowly walk me through their scam as I was getting some work done. I then asked them to send me 100 workstations COD to a PO Box and they hung up.
