They usually have all your financial information, or as much as you might have put down on any kind of loan application that you might have filed on line. Personally I'd change all my account numbers and cancel all credit or debti cards and get new ones.
Called from a blocked number from a room with a lot of noise. In a very heavy accent, said he was "Mark Robinson from the legal investigation department of the IRS regarding a bad situation against your name." Said if I did not call back this complaint would get registered "at the courthouse." and left the call back number 571-526-0026.
Involved IRS scam from this number requesting keeping lines open and threatening the sheriff would appear at my door. Do not believe anything from this number.
Never return their calls. Block them! They are hard core Indian or Pakistani scammer/extortionists. The calls are not random. They have your financial information and a lot of personal information. They pick on women, single mothers, the elderly and members of the immigrant community. They are looking for vulnerable people.
The male callers also engage in sexually abusive talk if they find you are not falling for their stupid scams. I've had a few female callers do the same thing to me.
