I got two calls, from two different numbers, on 15 Mar 2016 and 24 Mar 2016. Caller ID "Passanante's Ho"[me Food Services]
First call was from 443-377-7474. They also have a 1-800 number (772-7786). Notice the odd repeat number patterns. Superstition? A gambling problem? Or some weird Jewish thing? New owner of the company, a Jason Jaworski, only since 2011. So its prior "1916" reputation may no longer apply.
All this outfit does is deliver frozen food in bulk. And sells freezer units, if you don't have one. But who knows if it's really organic food.
The positive comments on the BBB site, leave me to believe they are phony. Who ever bothers to do that? Two negative complaints about their credit card billing and extensive credit checking. So Mr. Jaworski doesn't trust anybody. And bills customers, even after they've canceled their future orders.
As others have stated, its for a place called Passanante's. I know why they are calling and shame on me for kind of bringing this on myself... BUT with one caveat... they lied! Back in October our small town had a Halloween festival and this company was one of the vendors. They had a contest where you filled out the form and you could win $500 worth of meat and groceries from them. Here is the one caveat... the rep AND the form you filled out both explained you must give your phone number because that is the only way they contact the winner. Both went on to clearly point out that "THEY DO NOT cold call you and try to sell you anything". Clearly written on the entry form and also explained in person by the rep. Simply put... they lied through their teeth. They have been cold calling me since last October, even after I asked them to stop calling. I never won anything so that was not the reason for their calls. They (surprise, surprise) used deception of a contest to get phone numbers. In fact, I heard via a Facebook page our community members post things on that I am hardly the only person to fall for their scam, despite the assurance of no cold calling or sales calls. I should of known better but the rep assured us over and over they would not try to contact us to sell us anything... only if we won. We have also alerted city officials so they do not allow this company to have a vendor booth next year. Sure, I kind of set myself up for trouble but that does not give them the right to scam people.
