When I Google the number, it comes up as Cabela's. I was searching their website this afternoon for Christmas gifts. I didn't answer, as I didn't recognize the number, but I don't want to be stalked because I was on their website either. If I want to talk to them, I'll call 'em.
I got a call from this number who said they were from Dell and that they were getting messages that my computer has problems. Having received these types of calls before, I hung up. I have two service contracts with Dell. I contacted Dell, and they confirmed the call was not from them. It is spam. they try to take you to a website and have you give them control of your computer. Do not! It is not Dell
Claimed to be from Dell. Since I have a Dell Tech Concierge contract and this seemed strange, I did not let him have access to my computer; I put him off with an excuse. I immediately called Dell Tech Concierge and explained what had happened. Dell asked me if I had allowed him access. I said, "NO!" Dell said this was a SCAM an I should report to Federal Trade Commission that I had received a scam Call from this number.
