06-27-2012 @ 2:56 PM, 571-963-3220 called from Alexandria, VA. Caller ID showed only "NAME NOT FOUND". When I answered, it was a Robo-call from some damn telemarketing company. Recording said since qualified for Medicare for Seniors they were offering medical supplies & equipment at discounted prices. When I tried to talk the "lady" (with heavy accent) just kept talking like I wasn't there. Realizing it was a robo-call from a telemarketer trying to scam me, I just hung up on them. We are on the DNC lists but that doesn't make any difference to the scammers! F*** 'em!

Obviously a brand new number most likely created by an outfit we've complained about before. We just have to force Congress to do something about this.
Why depend on Congress? Congress is not likely to do anything more than the Do Not Call registry, which like most Congressional efforts doesn't work worth a damn.
Get caller id. Do not answer numbers from those you don't know. Block callers that are persistent.
If everyone's response to these people was negative, they would quit calling. Obviously, there is a profit in this; because, I suspect there are gullible morons who answer and respond to these gebrones with credit card numbers, social security numbers, drivers' license numbers, next of kin, and whateverthehell else.
We can bring a stop to it, by NOT RESPONDING and by legally going after abusive callers.
