Received a call from this number and they stated they were VA asking to send out a 'care pack' request to get funding for veterans. The male voice (which I thought was a recording due to the professional voice speaking, and with a delayed response) responded after i made a comment that I supported the local vets, then asked if they could get my support for a $50 or $20 gift pack. I repeated my earlier response where after a delay again stated that "I hope we can count on you again when we next call" and the call finished.
Bottom line the voice sounded like a radio or news announcer and very good English. It's just that the 'delays' between my conversation and theirs sounded like a "preprogrammed" response as it did not question, confirm or deny what I was saying. Maybe this is a real VA caller but being that I received two other calls in the last hour.. One from IRS wanting to save me from going to jail, and one to buy meds at a better price, figured that either the 'do not call' list lost my number, or somehow there's a new shared phone spamming system going through a common phone number list..
