This is most definitely Santander (Sovereign) bank. RUN don't walk from this bankster group. They are THE worst mortgage company we have ever had. They will harass you several times a day, including Saturdays on the phone. Some will leave messages, some will just hang up. They begin calling the second of the month looking for the mortgage payment that you have until the 15/16th to pay. They also put it on your credit report if you don't pay by the first - it's not marked as 'late payment', but it has shown several times on our credit reports at the bottom with the actual date of payment!
The people who call to find out when you're going to pay your monthly statement are extremely rude. Do these people have stock in the company place or what?! They don't like hearing you'll pay by the 'grace period', and insist you should pay on the first. We've even been asked by a few there how we manage to pay our other bills, buy groceries, have a cell phone - all because we didn't get the mortgage payment in before the 16th.
We don't bother answering their calls anymore, and once in a while they'll send a letter to us telling us we've not been returning their calls! lol I guess a job is a job. Too bad they don't have better ethics, and better caliber of employees. They sure do like legally harassing people & it's kinda scary and sad.
Don't even try for a loan mod. We've tried this three times based on very little income to having half the amount of the salary the mortgage was based on 5 years ago & all three times we got rejected. The first two times we had everything in they wanted & on time - we were rejected on the fact that 'not everything was filled out properly' & 'it wasn't in on time'. When we challenged our single-point-of-contact - he said everything WAS filled out properly & was in on time. But he said he didn't know what to do, and said for us to just start over!!!! When we calmed down, we did it again (about 6 months later) & this time we were rejected because we were not behind on our payments!!!! What a freaking joke!!!!
Yes my bank Sovereign bank calls routinely from 610 2085190 between the 1st to the 10th every month but leaves no voicemessage. They are annoying as I think they are wanting my mortgage payment before the fiist but realistically I have until the 16th.
Yes it's definitly Sovereign calling to annoy everyone to remind us our mortgage is due the 1st of the month(even though it's the 1st - 15th), like we are to dumb to remember. No matter how many times you ask them to quit bugging you with the annoying "reminders" they keep calling like clock work. I put the number in my contacts so I know it's them calling and ignore it. Once they get you on the phone, they ask a million questions about your idenity even though it's them calling you. At first I thought they were scammers trying to get info for idenity theft.
I just got a call to my mobile number from 610-208-5190. It was a recording, saying it was Sovereign Bank, and that I need to call the number on the back of my credit card. Which credit card? None of them are from Sovereign Bank, and I usually don't provide my mobile number as contact info. I called the 610-208-5190 number back, and they couldn't help, other than offering to check if I have an account with them if I would provide my SS number. No thanks.
