received a call today from them on my cellphone which still has a 610 area code.I don't live in that area code anymore but the man with a heavy accent mentioned my vehicle with extended warranty, which I do have. He asked for the mileage and i made up some number. He then made typing sounds on his key board and said he was going to connect to his supervisor not sure way because I couldn't understand a word he said. Then we were disconnected either he hung up or I lost my cell signal, it was a bad connection. Maybe they are looking for specific cars and mileage to steal?
Get call(s) daily from this number. When Jose (last name unclear) and won't spell it when I ask to take a message. He asks for my husband and I say he cannot come to phone he usually hangs up.I have told him we are on the Do Not Call list and he will hang up then also. He calls frequently.
Today he finally asked about the extended warranty on a car (he was unaware) that we sold 4 years ago. I told him we didn't own that make & he was adamant we did. I told him this was a scam, not to call again & I was reporting him to the Do Not Call and BBB (which I have done) he got a bit irate & defensive. He hung up.
Let's see if he calls tomorrow ;)
We also got the call from a man with a heavy accent asking for the mileage on our car. We also have Allstate Insurance as does someone else in the thread. Could be a coincidence, also could be a hack into or data leak from Allstate. Anyone else Allstate?
