I got a call from this number in Paoli, PA saying the represented Prudential Insurance Co. regarding the death of my husband. The person calling was not very professional which concerned me right away. They claimed there was a policy with monies that needed to be returned due to the death of my husband. When I told them I had no idea about any policy with them, they said that was why they were calling, because there had been no claim to the policy, they had been hired to advise me to make a claim or the money was going to the state. They wanted to transfer my call to another number so a claim could be made. When I refused and told them I wasn't sure that this wasn't a scam, the man assured me that it wasn't a scam and then said he was just trying to allow me to receive the monies in an investment account. When I said I would prefer to make the claim directly to the company myself and check it out with Better Business he couldn't get off the phone fast enough.

I got the same sort of call only this time they claimed to be hired by Prudential Insurance. They were very unprofessional and went from the reason for the call being a Life Insurance policy to it being a money market account. They kept trying to connect me to another number which I refused, saying I would call the company direct after I checked them out with Better Business which is when they said Thank you and hung up very quickly. I am going to call Prudential directly in the hopes of finding out if this is some sort of scam or not.

They call referring to my mother and said transamerica insurance was trying to get in touch. I did not tell them she died 9 years ago. They said they are sending out paperwork for transamerica insurance cause there was no activity. I will turn the paperwork over to the Feds when gets here.
