I received the same call claiming to be from Aetna. Asked for card number and I told her she should have the number if she was from Aetna. A lot of the time you need your ss# as the code so that is probably where she was headed. I cut her off and just said thank you not interested.

610-336-1000. The lady actually sounded fustrated or mad. She complained about our poor cell connection.
I asked her hat was the purpose of her call and what did she want to accomplish with her calling me.
She replied and said to me before she can tell me she will need my social security number and my date of birth.
She claimed to be from AETNA but I suspected a phone scam. I did not give my social security # or not my date of birth. I ask her to send me her request via ground mail to my home address, and then I said "thank you have a nice day" and I hung up the phone. A stranger calls me up and demands my social security # and date of birth???
I think they are from AETNA, the lady call me and ask my personal information! date of birth, address.... I told her that I can not give my personal information on the phone...
Tip. Social and d.o.b. is a huge red flag. If foreign accent 99.99% probable pishing scam. They don't want money just info. Any info to profile you. American or Canadian accent high % probable scam. It's rare to get real calls this time of year. Prerecorded human voice responses, mostly scams. Of course never give out info if interested listen then hang up, lookup the phone number to the business claiming to call you and call back on the number you found not the number they gave you. Even if it is the same number on the caller id scammers can fake the number on the caller id to what ever they want to unless you have a special line box caller id that ignores spoofed numbers.
