Called my cell phone. I'm on DNC list as well. I don't have Amy debts that would be in collections. Seriously ... who are these people? And what's with the drama?
My story is much the same as those before this. The recorded call (not even a real person on the line) does not pronounce my name correctly, does not give any indication to why they are calling, but did give a reference number this last time. Until this last call, the caller/company was not even identified. We have had several of these calls over the last few months. Without more information, I am very hesitant even to call the call-back number and try and found out what the deal is. The call is garbled and vague. When we try to respond to their requests, it doesn't do any good - we are not directed to anyone. This makes me nervous and irritated all at the same time. I only found out it was a collection service because of the research I've done. I don't have any outstanding debt that should be handled by a collection agency. Should I be contacting the Better Business Bureau or the attorney general in my state to report this?
