Yes, this number has called my home several times, and when you say hello, they hang up. It is annoying and the phone company needs to take care of this. I did call operator who stated it is a landline in Allentown, PA...
I am and have been on the do not call list for years and that doesn't seem to yeild any results on any phone calls. This one in particular 610 351-23643 -4 etc calls and then hangs up so I think that
maybe they see it on the list and call and hang up just to harass or to cause problems with the bogus fund raiser. As far as investigation nobody seems to be concerned about the victims .
After a number of calls and hang-ups, a person finally came on the line and indicated that they were from a sherrif's assocaition and wanted me to buy an ad in their upcoming program. They said they would send me a solicitation in the mail and that I could then decide what, if anything, to give.
My caller claimed to be from the Sherrif's Assocation. If that is the true origin of these calls, can we really expect the police to step in and do something? I don't think so.
