Since around Thanksgiving 07, I had received calls nearly every evening, anywhere from 7:30-9:00 p.m. They have diminished in frequency since Christmas, but still about twice a week. I answer them, no response. I finally hit the *69 on Sunday 2/10, and got a humber of 610-351-2370. This was around 8 p.m. on a Sunday evening. We are on the do not call list, and I doubt that even the stupidest telemarketer is going to call someone on the list, let alone on a Sunday evening. My opinion is that it is probably an organization looking for a charitable donation. Once you donate to one fire company, one police agency, etc. you're on the list as a soft touch for your entire region. They're also usually the only ones who have the cajones to call on a Sunday night. Just my opinion.
This number called us, when we picked up no-one was there and instead, we heard a ringing-sound (as if we had just dialed a number and it was ringing).
When I dialed the 610-351-2370 number back, I to heard the a series of tones and the following recorded message:
"Choice One. We're sorry, the number you have dialed cannot receive calls A-L-L-70-8
Have been bothered in spurts over three years from this number. Lately, I get a call daily. My answering machine records a dial tone when I am not home. Otherwise, I pick up and get no response, just a hang up. Today I have had two calls. I live in Reading.
This number calls constantly. I believe from my past calls they are trying to collect for the Police Pension fund. Since I have a family member on police pension fund board I asked him. it is a bogus call. I am also from the Reading PA area.
