This is a call from a company that wants to save you money on your electricity bill. I did not answer when they called my cell phone, I dialed back from my work phone. They apologized and said they took care of it. The solution seems to be tell them you are "Bank of America" and they will tuck tail between their legs and run.
This number is a scam call. My husband answered and handed the phone over to me because the person on the other end was talking about our electric bill and I handle that. Anyway, the woman introduced herself and said that my electric bill would be reduced and blah blah blah. Since my number and not my husbands is the only contact number with my electric company....I made up a false (but real) electric company. He then started using that company. I said to him (because I like to mess with these [***]). "You didn't know the name of my electric company until I told you". He was getting annoyed with me and wanted to argue, which is another sign of scammers. I'm not sure where the conversation was going, but I hung up. This phone number is also associated with IRS debt scammers and phone calls about action being taken if you don't pay up. If your electric company or the IRS wants to get a hold of you, if will generally be by snail mail or email. My advice would be not to respond to any of these and just call the real company to find out if there's a problem. If there is a warrant out for your arrest, your local authorities would know....you wouldn't be notified by some creepy guy on the phone. That is all....carry on.
Called number back, they are calling wanting to know if you are interested in saving money on your electric bill. I asked to have my number removed from their list and was hung up on.
