Got a threatening call today from a guy saying he was going to have me handcuffed and put in jail for "stealing" over $900 from him and his company "America's Finest at backpage.com." What does he sell? I ask. "Women," he says. He states he has 50+ recorded phone calls of me making appointments with women and not keeping them. He says he pays the women in advance and gets stiffed when I don't show up. If this guy is a pimp, he really sux at it! lol. What a business model. He even made a three way call to the police, and then hung up on them. A bluff. The next bluff, he pretends to play back one of my messages. He dramatically dials a number, but nothing happens. Anyway, I visited the local police who called him. He talked in circles until he finally cussed them out and told them they'd never be able to trace the number. Then he hung up. If you get a call from this number, report it to the police.
Much like the previous post some guy with a New York/New Jersey accent calls from the number 347-775-5971 and leaves a message saying he was from Empire Escorts and Massage and was bringing the 2 girls over with the file from his boss. He wants me to put on the front light. I assume it's the wrong number so I call back to let him know. He says he's just the driver and I have to talk to his boss. I call the boss and that guy is really rude and threatening saying "Do you want to go to jail tonight?" and asking if I have bail and that he had just spoken to the Sergeant. I asked him the sergeant for which department and he just threatened again. Having read the previous post I contacted my local department. The officer thought it was a sort of spam or some sort of scam. He recommended I just ignore it and I have. The guy has called back twice since but not left any messages.
This loser pulled the same [***] on me. Threatened jail and a law suite?? Really?? WTF!!! All because I rejected an ugly escort. I gave the girl $20 and was tactful and polite to her. This guy still calls me and even mentions my family. I'm single with no kids but if I had a family this would be blackmail or extortion.
I'm glad to know there is a trail of this guys BS incase I have to answer his false report should he follow through with lying to cops. I hope this helps someone else who hears from this jerk.
The guy called and told me the police were at my house. I replied, "What?" He said something about his driver and I told him I didn't have time for this and never to call my number again. He hasn't. Also, he got voice mail twice and wouldn't leave a message (before I picked up). He won't leave any evidence, so it is a total bluff at extortion. He has so few details/facts that only the dumbest imbecile would fall for his scam. I would love to know who is feeding him the phone numbers.
Holy cow !!! Most of the posts for the "missed escort appointments" outline all of the same things that happened to me when this particular scammer(s) called. Sunday evening I get a call from a Robert indicating that I owe him money for missed escort dates. I supposedly set up, but didn't show for 47 "dates" over the past couple months(although this number constantly changed over the course of several calls). He claimed to have a "file" on me detailing all of this. I couldn't talk with him at that time and called him back the next morning, as I suspected this was a scam since I do not make use of escorts.
When I called him back the next morning his name had changed to Alex and the number of missed dates in his file had changed. After berating me extensively (suggesting I had ADD and OCD, as well as being a compulsive liar and pervert), he gave a whole story about filing a law suit in Brooklyn court and sending a girl over along with the police. I played along over the course of several calls, finally getting the amount I owed him from $16,000 to $490 if I paid him today before noon (the time he was going to file court papers). By the way, he had never lost a case in 19 years he claimed !!!!! I told him I was going to Western Union to send him money. His "secretary" and him must have called me a dozen times asking if the money was sent and could I give them the confirmation number. He was extremely rude most of time, but became very nice when I indicated that I was going to send him the money. He even offered me a free half hour because he was a gentleman.
Finally, after he realized I was not sending him money, he sarcastically thanked me for wasting an hour of his time and indicated that he was going to add it to his "legal" bill.
The whole episode was very amusing. If this guy put as much effort into a real occupation as he did on this, he might actually be successful. His secretary "Stephanie" sounded cute, maybe I'll call and ask her out on a "date" next time I'm lonely.......
