I have recieved three calls from 052-556-790, although the "john anderson" says his direct line is 610-886-1206. The first message was informing me that an affidavit was filed against my friend's social security number and I was listed as a reference and before legal procedures and I get in big trouble to call him back on his direct line. After calling my "friend" (who is actually my daughter) she found this site. I called back the number and asked for John A. , I was told he would transfer me and asked why i was calling-- i said I was returning his call and did not know what it was about. they wanted to know the number I was calling from. I hung up. The next two calls repeated the same adding that I was not responding so I obviously was not serious about this matter, so he would be proceding with legal formalities and would see me in the courthouse. Also, repeated that if I did not respond I would be in big trouble.
I am in the process of reporting this to the authoritys-- just wanted to let people know there is another number to add to list
yes i have actually spoken to them....they claim to be representing netcash on unpaid payday loans and threatened to have me arrested if i did not wire money immediately.i responded by telling them to arrest me so i could sue thier butts
I have received calls from them also and told them "don't ever call this number again" and hung up on them. When they called back I just hit "dismiss" on my phone and they have not called back since.
Received calls from (904) 410-8370 and (904) 410-8373, Sean Carter, thick Indian accent. Federal Investigation Service,
male, claiming to be with Federal Investigation Service about a pending court case and arrest warrant. Have a couple of voice messages left if needed. Have blocked the numbers but he continues trying to scam me.
This is (one of many) criminal extortion scams that have been going on for years. Many are operating overseas and out of the reach of US law enforcement, while others are operating within the confines of prison cells here in the US, using contraband cell phones. Others are using VOIP. Either way, they are able to disguise their identities and locations, making them next to impossible to prosecute. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting victims' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.
