Exactly,only recourse we as fed up consumers have is to either get a call block phone,or just go with cell phone only. Our land line hold will block 250 calls and it fills up about every 6-8 weeks. So far I have never received any calls from telemarketing scammers on my cell phone, but I hear the telemarketing industry is pushing Congress hard to change that. Like 99% of people I assume all telemarketers are scammers. There are so many that are crooks it really has poisoned the whole lot of them. I have noticed the white pages has shrunk greatly probably because the scmmers have driven many away from land lines. I want to get rid of our land line but my wife needs it for her catering business so I wont win that battle.Still call block takes care of about 98% of the calls. Sometimes I overide the block and mess with the scammers just to pizz em off.
This telemarketer called me at 8:45 am. Wanted to tell me he was in my area for -I dunno- windows. I was livid that he called before 9 in the morning and told him so and take me off his list and hung up on him.
